About forty musicians have come together to bring the full power of konpa to life in a spectacular symphonic production!Following acclaimed performances at Boston’s prestigious Symphony Hall and New York’s Theater at Madison Square Garden, Arly Larivière continues the international journey of Konpa en Symphony. The Haitian artist and leader of the renowned group Nu Look will present this major production for the first time in Quebec on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 8 p.m., at Place Bell in Laval.Conceived, created, and artistically directed by Arly Larivière, “Konpa en Symphony” offers an exceptional fusion of the rhythmic power of konpa and the richness of a symphony orchestra. For this performance, the artist will be accompanied by an impressive ensemble of 40 musicians, bringing together the core members of Nu Look as well as several instrumentalists from Montreal.The show remains, above all, a konpa concert, enriched with symphonic arrangements. Arly Larivière’s danceable rhythms, romantic melodies, and iconic songs will retain their essence while taking on an orchestral and deeply moving dimension.
